Acceptance
By accessing or playing Doppelgänger ("the game") at playdoppel.app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Use of the service
You may use Doppelgänger for personal, non-commercial entertainment. You agree not to:
- Submit content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, or illegal
- Impersonate other people or entities
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service
- Use automated bots to create rooms or submit answers
- Attempt to access another player's answers or session data
User content
Answers and display names you submit during games ("User Content") remain yours. By submitting User Content you grant us a limited license to store and display it to other players in the same room for the purpose of running the game. We do not sell User Content or use it for advertising targeting.
Premium subscriptions
Premium plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe it was made in error.
Disclaimers
Doppelgänger is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantee of uptime, data preservation, or fitness for any particular purpose.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion, with or without notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration or courts of competent jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
